Community Day Camp
Our Community Day Camps are designed to challenge and develop individual skills and physical abilities using our renowned progressive coaching methods. Players who attend our camps over many years will benefit by learning under a consistent philosophy of how the game should be taught and played. Each camp will build upon the instruction they received at a younger age.
Camps for ages 6-16 (5 Days, 3 - 6 hour programs available)
ASA selects and expertly trains the very best coaches from America and beyond. Our unique training methods produce a motivated coaching staff that is second-to-none. As a result, ASA coaches are acclaimed for their commitment to soccer education, as well as their ability to create environments that promote fun, learning, sportsmanship and team spirit.
The camp program curriculums are designed to prepare players who wish to play at higher levels of the game or who are interested in improving their game for the next season.
At the youngest ages, we focus on developing the foundation skills of soccer: dribbling, ball control, kicking, shooting and passing using our First Touches to Success curriculum. With older players, we advance to receiving balls, 1v1 attacking, tackling, heading and the introduction of the tactical facet of the game using our Essentials to Advancement curriculum.
Each skill is taught using a variety of methods, increasing the level of challenge as the player refines the skill. Eventually, the player is asked to perform the skill under match conditions. Older players are also taught soccer tactics and the basics of team play, including combination plays, ball possession, defending as a group, speed of play, and others.
Mini Camps for ages 3-5 (5 Days, 1½ hour programs)
The Mini Camp is designed to introduce the game of soccer to the youngest developing players. Each day's activities are varied and include lots of fun games created explicitly for young players using our Adventure Soccer curriculum. They will learn dribbling, ball control and kicking through age-appropriate instruction and small-sided games of 3v3 and 4v4.
Each activity has been designed to develop coordination, physical skills and social interaction. Players are grouped to match their age and ability. Our staff is specifically selected and trained to work with the younger player.
